Mark your calendars!! The WDFW announced additional tentative razor clam digs on ocean beaches for dates in October, November and December. Effective July 15, 2019 the majority of Marine Area 6 (excluding Discovery Bay Shrimp District) will be open to recreational shrimp fishing 7 days per week with a daily limit being increased to 120 shrimp per person. This includes all species of shrimp including spot shrimp.  In addition, WDFW has added two more days for shrimp fishing in Marine Area 12 (Hood Canal). The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) announced the Puget Sound summer crab fishing season gets underway July 4. Recreational crabbing will be open Thursday through Monday each week. Crabbing is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays through the summer seasons.  All shellfish gear must be removed from the water on closed days.
