Each year people all across the country unite on the first Saturday of June in celebration of American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day®. This year, we won’t be meeting in person, but we will still preserve and promote trails and fight for access to quality green spaces.
The COVID-19 quarantine has put into sharp focus how time spent outside is helpful for mental and physical health, but trails are under threat and not everyone has permanent access to quality green space. Take American Hiking Society’s #NationalTrailsDay Pledge in honor of National Trails Day®—June 6. Commit to taking at least one action in 2020 to preserve trails and fight for equitable access to quality green space.
American Hiking Society will provide easy actions you can take, even while social-distancing. Everyone who takes the #NationalTrailsDay Pledge will be entered to win several outdoor gear prize packages.
Celebrate National Trails Day® with these easy steps:
Pledge: Take the #NationalTrailsDay Pledge
Act: American Hiking will provide easy actions you can take, even while social-distancing.
